In anticipation for our event this coming Sunday, I wanted to share some words about our performing group, Stay Sunday!

Stay Sunday is a new local band focused on uplifting communities through the joy of music. They play a selection of originals and covers, including a wide range of styles from folk rock to funk, reggae, blues, and beyond! Stay Sunday was initially formed by Cheryl and Nick, Cheryl as lead singer and Nick on guitar. They have been writing original music and playing shows together for the past 14 years since they first met in Tarrytown, NY. Marcus is on bass, coming into Stay Sunday with years of experience in the New York alternative rock scene during the 90's. Noah, a musician turned mathematics teacher, has made a homecoming to his craft, is on drums. His love for the power of music to both ground and transport has been rekindled behind the kit with Stay Sunday.

Stay Sunday describes their original music "[as] not only includ[ing] love stories, but also themes of overcoming working-class struggles, to create a more harmonious world, where all folks can be free to create a life uplifted with love! Stay Sunday brings joy and groovy entertainment to those looking for a great and uplifting experience!"

How lucky are we to platform such a talented group filled with amazing individuals, all based in our very own community! Melita's Village Nest is dedicated to giving a spotlight to our local artists and creatives. Support us this Sunday, July 28th at Melita's Village Nest from 2-5pm!
